THE TOWER OF DRUAGA?

This is a small fan-recreation, love letter to the old Namco Arcade-Game "Tower of Druaga"! It's as close to the original as I could make it, with an RPG, Roguelike twist!

This game is only 4 levels long, and is quite a short experience! I made this game as a sort of creative exercise to try and re-create a game I love in a completely unfit engine (sort of like maze_game_95, which you should TOTALLY check out :])

This game has no hints for how to beat it within the game itself, so I have included two help guides in the game files!

One is a "soft" guide that only gives vague hints on how to acquire each treasure and beat the game.

The other is an explicit guide that tells you exactly what to do in order to see the ending!

I highly recommend trying to play through it without a guide, and then depending on how bored you get, use one of the guides!

Each level has a 1:40 minute timer, and running out of time results in a game over!

Game overs kick you back to the title screen! No saves, no continues! You DO heal completely between floors, so there's that!

Unfortunately, there isn't much to do beyond beating the game the first time around, but I guess you COULD go for a high score! Bet you can't get 50,000!

Sadly, this game is being released as-is (if bugs are found, I'll update it), and I have no plans on expanding upon this into something more substantial. It was a fun project, but alas I have other games to get back to developing!

*Tower of Druaga and all it's goodness owned by Namco (or is it Bandai Namco now?) I claim no ownership over this ip and this game exists as a semi-faithful fan remake for a cool old-school Arcade Game! You oughtta try out the original game for yourself!

And in case you're wonderin', the comic in the screenshots is apparently from an old promotional for a Tower of Druaga Board Game. They made board-games of a lotta video games back in the day. Seriously, go look some of those up, they were wild (and most weren't that good...)
